They say all good things must come to
an end and so is true for this site.
A year ago I came up with the idea of
maybe writing a haiku poem every day for one year.
Who would have thought that writing
seventeen syllables every day would be so difficult.
But a year later I savor and treasure
the fact that I have a years worth of poetry that captures life in
Newfoundland. If anything I hope you have discovered how wonderful
Newfoundland is with such fascinating people, beautiful wilderness
and interesting cultural experiences. At this time I would like to
thank all of you who have found and followed this site for your
support. I would also like to thank my family, my Sleeping Dragon, my
friends, my fellow poets of the Wednesday Ship Poetry group, the
Newfoundland Writer's Guild, The Ship Pub, the numerous followers of this site and my day job for all the inspiration and support.
Lastly and specifically I would like to thank Kars and
Gwen S.T. who first introduced me to the option of blogging as a media to
share ideas.
I hope you will find your way to my new
blog site...
